Hip Hop Nutcracker

ATC Studios Elite Dance Company will present the first Hip Hop Nutcracker

This new production has a cast of 40 dancers of all ages that will hip hop their way into the audiences' hearts and reveal the most important message of the holiday season.

This premiere, innovative show is choreographed by Ryan Holder, assisted by Heather Diana, staff members of ATC's Elite Dance Studio. The set is designed and painted by Juan Carlos Bernal. ATC's managing director Joel Robertson is overseeing the production and appearing in the cast as Drosselmeyer. 

Music is by Tchaikovsky with ATC's composing artist Jose Aponte laying down tracks of the hip hop rhythms so emblematic of urban life. The story has changed from Tsarist Russia to an urban community center and audiences will delight in this modern adaptation of the much-loved classic.

There will be opportunities for audience boys and girls to enter and win a drawing with a prize that allows them to appear in the party onstage and receive an actual gift from Drosselmeyer.
