The Teens and Young Adults 2012 NYC Showcases performed the last week in July in NYC at the TBG Theatre, to rave reviews! Our theme was This Is What I Am and featured not only ALL original scenes but also an original song, and original music accompaniment. We also featured a scene and staged a poem by the winner of our playwriting competition: The Way It Is this past spring. What a great summer it was!
One of the industry professionals in attendance said "Your shows are SO much better than what we usually see". Another was shocked that we put together such a quality product in only 5 weeks. He was certain that we must work with the participants for six months or so...And yet another asked us to make sure that she was invited to all our future showcases, she was that impressed!
Auditions for next year's showcases for Teens/Young Adults will open for privately scheduled times in JANUARY.
